The Sign Gypsies story began in 2014 in McKinney, TX. Two friends, both with small children and big imaginations, were seeking an outlet to unleash their creativity and entrepreneurial spirits. Immediately, Sign Gypsies was born! Their tiny idea has now grown to more than 800 locations nationwide giving other entrepreneurs the opportunity to unleash their creative passions.

ABOUT YOUR LOCAL AFFILIATE
I am Haley Smisek, owner of Sign Gypsies-Greenville. I have been married to my sweetheart, James, for 22 years! We have 3 pretty spectacular children, Joseph, Nathan, & Hannah. I first learned about Sign Gypsies from my friend Autumn, when she opened Sign Gypsies-Princeton. I thought it was such a neat concept! We moved to Greenville in September of 2016 & I almost immediately called Autumn to find out more information on becoming a Sign Gypsies affiliate. With a huge leap of faith, I opened Sign Gypsies-Greenville in April, 2017 as the 112th SG location and placed my very first sign that May!
I originally started the business because I thought it would allow me to help contribute to our household finances. It has turned into so much more than that. I have the privilege of spreading joy all over our community!! What could be better than that?! I have done signs for the tiniest of babies, those who are more seasoned than others, and every age in between. I have done signs to welcome people home after a long hospital stay, congratulate cancer survivors, celebrate personal achievements, and many more! I have ugly cried leaving houses after learning more about the stories behind the signs. I have also smiled so big my face hurt after driving by a completed sign and catching the recipient enjoying their special surprise. While I am often tired from tiptoeing around yards at night, this business has been good for my soul! Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Thank you for supporting my small business.
